7 Plus Tutor

Our 7 Plus Tutors are experts in helping children pass what is one of the hardest exams a child will take before their A levels. Tutoring agencies who claim that an hour a week is enough are misleading parents. We have developed a programme delivered by our 7+ tutors that offers a more holistic, thorough and comprehensive approach to 7+ preparation comprising baseline Academic Assessments, 1-2-1 tuition, handwriting and dictation classes, mock exams, group holiday classes and interview practice. It is also vital to build up stamina over time, as the exams are at least two hours long and sometimes three hours long. Our classes are run out of Dulwich Village C of E Infant’s School and Hampstead Parochial School in Hampstead and we also run them online. We rarely offer in home tuition as we find that children need the experience of a school setting to best succeed.

Our tutors are qualified teachers with experience of preparing children for the 7 Plus exam. However, we find this is not enough and so we have all our teachers go on our twelve stage 7 Plus Teacher Training programme. This ensures that they are familiar with the different elements of the 7 Plus and have the skills needed to rapidly accelerate curriculum acquisition and prepare for examination success.

We strongly recommend that you join our programme through buying our comprehensive package which will give you the right base in terms of tutoring, handwriting and dictation, mock exams and interview practice. You cannot start early enough for these tough exams and you are most likely to pass if you start in Reception but we do take children later. You can join our programme mid term, if we have spaces available, and we will pro rata the cost for you.

Term Dates for our in person 7 Plus Tutors and Programme

Autumn Term: Term begins on the 13th/14th September 2025 and runs to the 29th/30th November 2025 (There are no sessions on 18/19th October and 25th/26th October for half term break).

Spring Term: Term begins on the 10th/11th January 2026 and runs to the 28th/29th March (There are no sessions on the 14th/15th February and 21st/22nd February for half term break).

Summer Term: Term begins on the 18th/19th April 2026 and runs to 4th/5th July (There are no sessions on the 23rd/24th May and 30th/31st May for half term break).

Reception, Year One and Year Two (first term only) 7 Plus Tutor Packages

This package is termly and includes:

• 10 ninety minute 1-2-1 lessons with 7+ expert tutors (10 per term). The lessons are run out of Dulwich Village C of E Infant’s School and Hampstead Parochial School on Saturday and Sunday mornings (you choose which day/venue/timeslot suits you).
• £2,200 per term.
