We were started by a group of senior teachers at an outstanding school in North London and we remain educationally led by a leadership team of senior, qualified teachers. Our speciality has always been helping children pass exams and our focus remains offering the best support for 4 Plus, 7 Plus, 11 Plus, GCSE and A Level. Our 4+ programme is innovative and the first of its kind. We help children with their behaviours, skills and attainment to gain places at the most prestigious schools in the UK. Our results are exceptional, with 100% offer rates at some of the most competitive schools in the UK. Come to us to support your child to obtain an all through offer to 18.
Our 7 Plus Programme
We specialise in individual preparation for 7+ entrance exams. All educators teaching on our 7 + programme are qualified teachers and have also completed our bespoke twelve step 7+ training course. This has been written specifically for Mentor and reflects the latest school assessments.
Our Comprehensive
11 Plus Offering
Our 11 Plus results are second to none, with over 90% of our cohort receiving an offer from their first choice school, and over 100% receiving offers from their first or second choice school. We can also help with Academic Assessments, Weekend Schools in Dulwich, Wimbledon or Hampstead and specialist tutors who are authorities in their 11 Plus subjects or have a track record of success at particular schools.
We also offer 11+ practice interviews, group assessments and mock exams.
Academic Assessments
We offer CEM assessments, in conjunctions with Cambridge University Education department to help parents understand their child’s suitability for competitive schools and help them identify schools where they will thrive.

Our Tutors
We are incredibly picky about who we represent and to work with us, tutors must pass the most stringent tests. In addition to their teaching qualifications, we also check degree certificates and take up two teaching references. All our tutors have an Enhanced DBC Background check. We also meet all our prospective tutors in person and look for bright, interesting personalities, warm and friendly people, who engage with their students and make learning enjoyable and accessible.
Varsity Scholars
In 2023 we acquired Varsity Scholars, the UK’s number two Oxbridge Applications business and we now have the expertise to support your child with all their educational challenges from age two through to eighteen. Varsity Scholars works with some of the most prestigious schools in the UK, such as Eton College and Wellington College, giving advice and support around preparation for admission tests, personal statements and interview preparation.
