7 Plus Mock Exams
Children practising in invigilated conditions is vital to reduce their anxiety and develop speed and accuracy under pressure.
Children practising in invigilated conditions is vital to reduce their anxiety and develop speed and accuracy under pressure.
Even the most prepared child can feel daunted the first time they experience formal exam conditions.
Our 7 Plus Mock Exams aim to familiarise children with real test environments, helping them stay calm while making speedy and measured decisions, under supervised, timed conditions.
Mocks are especially important for small children who have never encountered exam conditions. Most children in their first exam ask to go to the toilet and ask the teacher for help when they get stuck on a question. Our nurturing teachers will gently dissuade them and support them to work on their test independently. Schools rarely prepare children properly for these exams. State schools will not help children prepare for entrance exams. Furthermore, prep schools are usually targeting the 11 plus rather than the 7 plus – as it is not in their interests to prepare children to exit their school early.
On the day of the mock, your child will sit exams in English, Maths and Reasoning. The exams will take two hours in total.
These exams are suitable for children taking exams at schools such as Dulwich College, JAGS, Alleyn’s, Highgate, UCS, Channing, NLCS, KCS Wimbledon and the Girls’ Day School Trust schools.
Spaces are limited to 12 per exam so please book early to secure your place.

A set of 7+ mock exams costs £300, and this includes one 7+ mock English exam (comprehension and creative writing), one 7+ mock Maths exam and one 7+ mock Reasoning exam plus written feedback from an experienced 7+ tutor.
If your child is unused to invigilated exam conditions, anxious, or struggles to concentrate for an hour, we strongly recommend that you purchase several mock exams, as these are very tough exams and children are not well prepared for them at most schools.
