What does the baseline test cover?

The 7+ exam is a daunting prospect, and many parents want to be sure their child is a suitable candidate before they commit to the work involved in preparing them.

Our 7 Plus Baseline assessments are written assessments, effectively a snapshot in time, to show where a child’s current attainment is, helping parents make an educated decision as to whether their child can master the remaining work in time, and more importantly, will they thrive during 7+ preparation or find it stressful. The baseline tests will be marked by a qualified teacher who has direct and relevant experience to the 7+ exams your child will be sitting for.

On the day of the test, your child will sit a combination of written exams in English, Maths and Reasoning, depending on the assessments your child will be sitting (if you know). The appointment will take around two hours in total, including feedback from our 7 Plus team, either on the day, or via a Teams meetings afterwards if more convenient.

These exams are suitable for children considering exams at schools such as Dulwich College, JAGS, Alleyn’s, Highgate, UCS, Channing, NLCS, KCS Wimbledon and the Girls’ Day School Trust schools.
