Family Aspirations

Faby’s parents sought out Mentor Education due to a range of challenges they were experiencing both at home and at school. Faby, despite being a gentle and considerate child, exhibited underlying compliance issues and sometimes refused to engage in learning activities. Additionally, she occasionally expressed her frustrations physically.

Academic Diagnosis

Upon meeting Faby, the practitioners at Mentor Education quickly recognised her potential but also identified areas that needed support. Faby started weekly sessions with Miss Andrea, a compassionate and skilled educator. Miss Andrea and Faby developed a strong bond of trust, which was crucial for Faby’s progress. Through carefully planned weekly activities, Miss Andrea addressed Faby’s social and emotional needs, incorporating regular talking time to build her confidence and help her develop her school persona.

How We Helped

Faby’s intelligence was apparent, and it became clear that she needed to channel her thoughts and feelings into her tasks. However, her parents were concerned that without proper guidance, Faby might struggle with her upcoming 4 Plus assessments. To help her prepare, Faby participated in many group sessions designed to mimic the real 4 Plus assessment environment. These sessions helped alleviate her anxiety and taught her the importance of teamwork.

The dedicated support from Mentor Education and the bond she formed with Miss Andrea proved to be transformative.

Faby’s success

Faby’s progress was significant, and her newfound confidence and skills were evident during her JAGS (James Allen’s Girls’ School) assessment. She successfully passed her assessment, demonstrating her ability to work as part of a team and manage her emotions effectively.

Faby is set to start JAGS in September, and her parents are overjoyed by her accomplishments. The strong connection she developed with Miss Andrea has positively influenced her pre-school life, making her a calm, methodical, and wonderful child. Her journey with Mentor Education has equipped her with the tools she needs to thrive in her new school environment.

As Faby embarks on this new chapter at JAGS, everyone who knows her is confident in her ability to continue growing and achieving great things. Her story is a testament to the power of dedicated support and the importance of fostering a nurturing environment for children to flourish. We wish Faby every success in September and look forward to seeing all the wonderful things she will accomplish in the future.
