We give your child the skills needed in class note taking, reading for success, essay structuring, rote learning, acquiring new knowledge, gaining speed, vocabulary acquisition and improving English grammar.
The course begins with an initial tutorial with our Director of Education and the student. Following this we have three one hour sessions with specialist tutors – one for humanities, one for maths and science and the last for languages. There is also a marked note taking exercise for homework. Sessions happen online.
This course gives students the skills they need to absorb and integrate all the information needed to do well at GCSE. This is particularly the case since reforms a decade ago increased the content of GCSEs and reduced the coursework elements. Parents usually do not realise this until their child under performs in their mocks. This course is particularly suitable for students in year 9 and year 10.
