Pass the 7 plus with our dedicated programme and an expert 7 plus tutor

We offer a series of 1-2-1 and 2-2-1 classes to assist with preparing your child for the 7 plus.

These follow a set programme for a term which can take your child all the way from the start of Year 1 through to their exams in the winter of Year 2. Each lessons lasts an hour and each terms sees us run eight to ten lessons a term. The 7 plus is a hard exam. In many ways it is harder, taking into account age, than the 11 plus exam. As such, we teach it in with either a dedicated 1-2-1 tutor or in 2-2-1 classes. We run sessions in Clapham, Dulwich and Hampstead. Our Clapham tutorial classes run on Monday evenings and Saturday afternoons. Our Dulwich tutorial classes run on Saturday mornings. Our Hampstead tutorial classes run on Saturday mornings.

Autumn Term dates start on 22nd October and run through to 10th December. The January start date is 7th January and runs through to the 25th March with a break for half term. Our Autumn term sees us do eight classes but includes our Academic Assessment which sees a detailed report made before the course on your child’s academic potential made in conjunction with Cambridge University. This helps to guide the learning. Normally, this would be £495 but is included within the price for the course. The other terms see us do ten classes.

We cover the key elements of the curriculum and ensure that your child has both acquired the curriculum and mastered it. We ensure your child works on their arithmetic, their mathematical accuracy, their spelling, their punctuation, their speed, the volume of work they can produce for creative writing, and the imagination of their stories. There is homework given, mock exams are included, as is interview practice. Our dedicated programme is all you need to ensure 7+ success.

The cost of the course is £1000 a term for the 1-2-1 classes and £750 a term for the 2-2-1 classes.

These courses are suitable for either year 1 or year 2 children. Where there are 2-2-1 classes we will ensure that you are in a class with a child of similar age.

These classes are excellent preparation for the 7 plus exams at schools such as JAGS, Alleyns, Dulwich College, Highgate, UCS, Habs, NLCS, the various GDST schools and more. Our tutors know these schools, they have often previously taught at these schools, and will prepare your child for entrance to them. The whole programme is overseen by our Director of Education who was previously the Deputy Head of a GDST school and involved overseeing school entrance. In short, you are in safe hands.
